What would you prefer? – A five-star hotel to dine-in or a street food/dhabaa – A 1000-rupee bill and still feeling hungry or 50-rupee and stomach full food?
How would you rate yourself at being foodie? Like how foodie are you? Just dining in for the sake of good pictures or giving a try to these yummilicious street food!
Let me share you a dark secret about 95% people, no matter how we all pretend we love to try being care free and dip ourselves even if it’s for once to this street food, specially these days when this new trend of street food is taking more attention than the five stars, people are moving out for dhaba than hotels, reasonable and delicious enjoying the weather at peak, only in summers it get a bit slow but still eye catching. Oonchi Dukan Pheka Pakwaan, (high shop, vapid food. only the perception of status is high but the reality is something else)
Pizza or Pizza Paratha?
A pizza at pizza parlor (not targeting any brand) would cost you minimum 500-800 without tax, which is okay to have in 6 months but if you are a food lover and want to have it like on week basis what will you do then?
Trying out pizza paratha or chicken cheese paratha or any alternate to fill in the pizza cravings – feels like a total change of style and flavors? Right! But think all the taste and satisfaction it gives, in such a reasonable rate like 200-300 max, you can eat as much as you want along with your drink or tea or any beverage you like to have.
Ande wala burger or zinger burger:
Would you go for ande wala burger in rs.50 or invest rs.200 in a small zinger which is oilier(maybe) smaller in size and which won’t make you full. There are so many reasons to choose ande wala burger over zinger burger like the size, taste, making you full and reasonable rates. You can have it when you are broke and want to eat out. Its like desi zinger burger for a broke person and eeuu for a salaried person.
Not targeting any community or anyone just sharing a fact of desi people – like I too myself choose zinger burger when I have salary in my wallet and on other days I choose ande wala burger when I am financially broke 😀
Chaat From a Mall or Chaat From a Road Side Theela:
Enjoying chaat on road side is much fun than in a mall. Plus, the advantage you have on road side chaat is that you can ask for more spice and chatni than in a mall. The quantity and the presentation for a chaat in a mall is so like finest but chaat is totally desi you can never pack a desi into a fine package it looks totally unjustifiable so yeah, the war for chaat is …… never ending!
Milk Shake or Gaane ka Juice/Coconut Water:
What would you prefer? A shake which you doubt of being tasteless or any other reason, or you would choose coconut water or gaane ka juice (sugarcane) or lassi at a dhaaba. Some desi things over some monster shakes which are less healthy and not always on top of there flavors. Plus, the rates on which we can take a war on. Shakes would cost you more than 100 and these healthy things like sugarcane juices are available in just 30rs max per glass. Coconut water is bit expensive all of the above mention items.
Ice Cream or Kulfi:
Ice cream or kulfi, although this combo is really hard to choose, but still it’s a battle within RS.20 kulfi vs RS.120 ice cream what would you choose or prefer?
Mineral Water or Tap Water:
Do you prefer mineral water or you can drink a tap water too? Being on a safe side it is okay but people being too conscious about other people not hesitating while drinking tap water, as if they have committed is offensive at times.
While writing all these comparisons my mouth is full of water, because I can not only imagine also, I can feel a touch of all those foods and flavors. Tell me about your choices and further more combinations like these which one you prefer to go with or choose to often or feel easy while being desi 😊 waiting for your replies and comments.
